Audeze Penrose gaming headset for PS5 and Xbox Series X
It missed it’s September release, but the Audeze’s Penrose gaming headset for PS5 is now ready to buy. The planar magnetic drivers drew a lot of a attention when it was first pushed way back in July. The planar magnetic driver technology promises a more natural sound, immersive sound stage and less distortion.
Two different versions are available for each of the next gen consoles, the PS5 version also working with the PS4, PC and Mac. The Xbox Series version of the headset is shipping in late December, maybe too late for some Christmas presents.
A Shure designed built in mic
Mobile device compatible via its’ Bluetooth 5.0, so you can still listen to sound from your PS5 while connecting to Discord. A Shure designed built in mic comes with both versions, with a single charge giving your 15 hours of use, connectivity comes via the standard 2.4 GHz dongle.
Audeze Penrose is a bit expensive compared to other gaming headsets like the SteelSeries Arctis 9, this is due to the planer drivers.
